Death Investigation Training Academy

Many training agencies are well-rounded and can fulfill the training needs in nearly every category of public policing and investigation.  At DITA we concentrate on death investigation and everything surrounding those investigations.  By becoming hyper-focused in this field we are better able to provide intense and specific training you and your investigators need.

European Symposium on Suicide and Suicidal Behavior

 ESSSB is a biennial congress considered as one of the most important international meetings in the field of suicidology and suicide prevention. ESSSB is the place where research and practice meet through the voices of academics, clinicians, stakeholders, volunteers and people with lived experiences.

Forensic Technology Center of Excellence

 The Forensic Technology Center of Excellence (FTCOE), led by RTI International, is supported through a Cooperative Agreement from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. The FTCOE supports the implementation of new forensic technology and best practices by end users and is dedicated to elevating the status of forensic science through advancing technology, sharing knowledge, and addressing challenges. The FTCOE bridges the gap between the scientific and justice communities.

Homicide Research Working Group

 People who do homicide research, develop and maintain homicide datasets, or design intervention strategies for lethal violence are literally involved with life-and-death issues. Nevertheless, work in lethal violence had been scattered among numerous disciplines, with little coordination and often little or no communication among them.

 TRAIN is a national learning network that provides thousands of quality training opportunities to more than 2 million professionals who protect and improve the public's health.

Powered by the Public Health Foundation (PHF), the TRAIN Learning Network brings together agencies and organizations in the public health, healthcare, and preparedness sectors to disseminate, track, and share trainings for the health workforce on a centralized training platform.

The TRAIN Learning Network is comprised of:

  • TRAIN Affiliates that operate branded TRAIN web portals, have administrative access to the TRAIN platform, and work together to coordinate and share workforce training efforts.
  • Government agencies, academic institutions, and other nationally-recognized and respected organizations that post content to the TRAIN Learning Network in order to disseminate and track their trainings to the health workforce.
  • TRAIN learners from all US states and territories, as well as other 177 countries. Anyone can register as a learner on TRAIN at no cost and access thousands of openly available course offerings, the majority of which are free.
